Calis-Beach has the famous Sunday market (a truly local market) which, while on a smaller scale to those in Fethiye, makes for a fascinating day while simultaneously offering the opportunity to supplement your weekly self-catering provisions You will find a water taxi (water dolmus) sailing across the bay to the harbour of Fethiye, if you take this twenty-minute trip, you may be fortunate enough to spot one of the many protected sea turtles
The Fethiye Windsurfing Club lies to the north of the central promenade and takes a fifteen minutes or so stroll along the beach to reach there
